Panathenaic (Kallimarmaron) Stadium (15 min walking distance)
The only stadium in the world built entirely in marble and the place where the modern Olympic Games were revived in 1896. It was first built in 330 BC, primarily for the Panathenaic Games, hence the name Panathenaic Stadium. It is now used for various events, the most important being the finish line to all the Athens Authentic Marathon races, including the classic 42,2 race.
